# Netdisco recovery

1. Stop backend and web containers on an isolated recovery host.
2. Restore the PostgreSQL dump with the matching database major and the protected config directory.
3. Set owner UID/GID 901 on Netdisco volume paths; restrict secret files.
4. Start Compose and inspect database initialization, backend and web logs.
5. Confirm named-user login, query a known device and run one approved discovery job.
6. Record the recovery point and elapsed time before cutover.
